Operational checklists for independent restaurants

SOP Chef is built for single-location restaurant owners who need documented opening, closing, and food-safety procedures, without enterprise software, six-month rollouts, or a blank Word document. We publish free templates you can customize and print today, plus guides and articles that help your team follow them on the floor.

What you can use today

SOP Chef is a new product. We are not publishing fake testimonials or inflated customer counts. What is live now is a growing library of operational content: templates, guides, and blog posts: designed for the kitchen floor, not a corporate compliance suite.

How we write food-safety content

Restaurant operations sit next to public health: so we treat SOP templates and articles as reference material, not legal advice. Checklists draw on widely accepted food-service practices, including guidance from the FDA Food Code and training frameworks like ServSafe and HACCP principles. Every template page includes FAQs and a disclaimer to adapt procedures to your local health department.

Blog posts and guides are reviewed for accuracy before publish. We show author attribution, last-reviewed dates, and cited sources on content-heavy pages. If health codes or best practices change, we update affected templates and note the revision date.

Temperature fields label units explicitly (°F / °C). Sign-off lines and manager review steps are included so your binder matches what inspectors expect to see: documented, dated, and accountable.
